After watching Mrs Hinch’s Instagram stories religiously and buying every single product that she promoted an unusual, but interesting product really caught my eye back in March.
I’d just given birth to my daughter a few days before when I was catching up on Mrs Hinchs story during a night feed (well, it was about 11pm!). She was damp dusting her radiator cover with a pink sponge! She had tagged Sph2onge on the story. So me being a retailers dream clicked on Sph2onges account. I went straight onto their website and saw that their pink sponges where still available! I must admit I was a little hesitant about buying one as it was just over £6 (including postage) and I’d never used or even really heard anything about Sph2onge before.
But of course I brought one anyway!
With anything that Mrs Hinch buys and posts about, it booms! I remember watching Chris (the owner of Sph2onge) posting a story apologising that the delivery time will take up to 2-3 weeks because he’d been ‘Hinched’…and it did! It took bloody ages!! But it was defiantly worth the wait!

As soon as it arrived, I damp dusted every skirting board in my house…my gosh it was GROSS! Who knew dust could exist without being visible!
Shortly after Sph2onge released a new product…a cloth. The cloth is a game changer! Although I love the sponge (and still use it daily), the cloth put the sponge to shame!
The cloth originally was brought out to help those who had difficulty holding the sponge! But the cloth has soooo many more uses compared to the sponge. It’s a lot bigger and very easy to use! The cloth fits in smaller gaps and covers a larger surface area (great for putting under the drying washing up!).
Most recently I’ve been seeing a lot of people (including my partner, James) cleaning their cars with the cloth! A bit of advise for this… use the cloth to dry the car… don’t use it to clean break dust off of your wheels… James… it will turn your cloth black!!
My favourite job for my Sph2onge cloth is defiantly damp dusting and wiping the corners of my carpets where dust builds up! I used to use baby wipes to clean the edges of the carpet, but since I found out baby wipes take up to 100 years to decompose, I don’t want to use them unnecessarily. The cloth is also fab at cleaning soft toys (best known as dust collectors!). Your cloth just needs to be damp and it will pull all of the dust off!
With my Sph2onge sponge, I use it daily in my bathroom! It lives on the corner of my bath! We have a shower over the bath so lots of little puddles collect whilst showering. I put the sponge between the shower curtain and the edge of the bath and it collects SOOO much water! It has stopped water from leaking onto our bathroom floor and leaking through the ceiling!

A few of the other uses that Sph2onge can be used for are; removing excess hair from your pets, absorbing any spillages, absorbing water when defrosting your freezer (the original idea behind Sph2onge), cleaning your windows, TVs and mirrors and cleaning your garden furniture. This is just a few uses of the Sph2onge, there’s plenty more, they just need to be discovered!!
For those who don’t already know, DO NOT use any chemicals with your Sph2onge…especially bleach or Zoflora…it will eat and destroy your Sph2onge products! Water is all that you should use! To wash your Sph2onge products, put them on a 30’c water wash (no detergent, no softener, nothing!).
